Blood Letting (Therapeutic Venesection)
Service Description
Blood letting is a therapeutic procedurewhere blood is withdrawn (usually around 500ml) under controlled conditions. It can help relieve symptoms in certain situations where reducing iron levels or blood thickness may be beneficial. At our clinic, your comfort and safety are our top priorities. The procedure is carried out by an experienced, fully qualified phlebotomist in a clean, clinical environment. Before your appointment: Have a good meal within 2–3 hours beforehand (avoid fasting, as low blood sugar may make you feel faint). Drink plenty of water to stay well hydrated. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before. Wear loose clothing on your arms to make access easier. During the appointment: We’ll talk you through the process and make sure you feel at ease. A measured amount of blood will be taken using sterile equipment. The procedure is quick, usually taking no more than 15–20 minutes. Aftercare: You’ll be advised to rest for a short while before leaving. Keep well hydrated for the rest of the day. Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for 24 hours. Price: £80 per session
Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes plans change. Our goal is to offer flexible, compassionate care while also protecting our time and small business operations. Please take a moment to read our cancellation policy below. Cancellations & Rescheduling You may cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment time will incur a £20 late cancellation fee. Missed appointments (no-shows) will be charged at 50% of the service fee (or more if products have been specifically ordered in for you), depending on the time and type of appointment missed. Late Cancellation & No-Show Fees As we do not currently store card details, any cancellation or no-show fees must be paid in full before another appointment can be booked. You will receive a payment link via email or text if a fee is due. Further bookings will not be accepted until outstanding balances are settled. How to Cancel or Reschedule You can cancel or request a reschedule online, replying to your booking confirmation email, messaging us directly, or using the contact form on our website. Please give as much notice as possible so we can offer the slot to someone else. Important Notes Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in being asked to pay in full for future bookings in advance. We appreciate your understanding — this policy helps protect the sustainability of our small business while still being flexible and fair to our clients.
